Greek Mainland

Please note that within Greece itself there is some overlap between the different mainland areas, with slight differences when it comes to administrative regions compared to geographical regions. As just one example, the administrative region of Western Greece includes a part of the north-west Peloponnese.

We’ve done our best to place things logically, but don’t be surprised if there seem to be occasional errors, or if some places appear in two different regions. Both Meteora and Mount Olympus, for example, are partly in Macedonia and partly in Thessaly. If you want to find somewhere specific, use the Search box.
